For the maximum enjoyment, and most importantly, the security and well-being of everyone at the Vivian Beaumont Theater, the company operates several venue policies. Please be mindful of these during your visit, and remember to be respectful of other guests and staff.

Alcohol

Proof of ID (drivers license, passport, or military ID) must be provided by anyone wishing to purchase alcohol from the Theater bars. The company reserves the right to refuse the sale of alcohol to any guest deemed to be acting in a drunken or intoxicated manner. The decision of management is final.

Late Admittance

Latecomers are admitted at the discretion of the management, and may be asked to wait in the lobby until a suitable break in the performance. Please be advised that some productions do not offer late seating at all, and tickets will not be refunded for late arrival, so don’t chance it!

Prohibited Items

The following items are not allowed within the theater: Animals (with the exception of service animals such as guide dogs – please contact the venue prior to your visit with your requirements), balloons, balls and projectiles, cameras and video or audio recording equipment of any kind, explosives, external food or drink, large backpacks, selfie sticks, and weapons or replica weapons of any kind.

Cell phones and other handheld electronic devices must remain off or in silent mode, and stowed away so as not to emit light and distract members of the audience and performers, throughout the show’s duration.

Most importantly, when enjoying any show or event at Vivian Beaumont Theater please follow the Golden Rule: Be respectful and mindful of the others around you.
